I hope to see many of you at Pi-Con!
As everyone makes their August plans, I wish to remind you to consider attending Pi-Con! Pi-Con is a weekend-long celebration of science fiction and other fan interests - there's webcomics, science, costuming, gaming, larping, filk, lifestyle, and lots more. This year will feature Author Guest of Honor Mary Doria Russell (award winning author of The Sparrow and Children of God), Webcomic Guest of Honor Jeffrey Rowland (creator of Wigu, Overcompensating, and the awesome t-shirt site Topatoco), and Guest of Awesome Genevieve Iseult Eldredge. We will also see the return of our video game room, two full rooms of all day board/card/table top gaming, many favorite panels and events including the panel in the pool, and the new addition of Filk programming! There will also be performances by our local Rocky Horror and Repo casts (The Come Again Players and Genetic Imperfection)

Midsummer Magick's "Anything Goes" weekend
Hey, folks!
Our brand-new baby Renaissance Faire, The Midsummer Magick Faire, out in Oxford, is having its last weekend, and we're doing an "anything goes" - dress up as whatever you want! (As long as it's street-legal, that is.) And on Sunday, we're doing an unofficial Steampunk Day, with The Penny Dreadfuls and author G.D. Faulksen.

We're on rain or shine, and we'd quite love to see you there!

Munchkin
I have a deck!
Just the basic one, thanks to Yale bookstore...

So, who's coming to play Munchkin tomorrow night?

oi
I just found this community on futuresuperhero's profile.

I'm a language geek/translator, artist and photographer, Linux geek and tcl/tk hacker, and fan of rock en español, as well as other obscure things...and a general misfit.

I'm trying to stir up a Munchkin game at my digs in New Haven tomorrow night (Saturday).
I need someone to bring a deck, though...I don't have one...waiting for one to arrive from Amazon.

CT Weirdos mailing list
I have recently created the Ct Weirdos mailing list as a way to help all the "odd" people and groups in Ct help find each other and get together.

I hope for it to be a place to post parties, gaming, get-togethers, or any other social activity. To find people who are interested in doing similar stuff to what you're into.

If this sounds at all interesting to you, please join the list, and feel free to pass on the list info to anyone else you think might be interested. You don't even have to be a resident of CT to join, though I'd like to keep the events CT based or close enough CT residents can realistically attend.

As Facebook might say, "Poke!"
Hello!

Hello!

I know you're out there! I can hear you breathing!

Sure, this is ostensibly a shameless ad for the Wicked Faire, February 8th and 9th, in New Jersey...

..but I'd genuinely love to see some traffic on this group. As, I imagine, many of y'all would, as well. :)

Hello, I say!
